Appointments at Newsnight

The BBC has appointed Chris Cook as policy editor and David Grossman as technology editor at Newsnight.

Cook is currently executive comment editor at the Financial Times. He will report and provide analysis across a range of policy areas as well as contributing to the programme's coverage of Westminster politics. He begins his role in February 2014 and can be found tweeting @xtophercook.

Grossman has been political correspondent at Newsnight since 2002. He will cover technology including the effects of the digital revolution. He begins his role in January 2014 and can be found tweeting @DavidGrossmanUK.
