There have been a number of departures at The Scotsman. Sports editor Colin Leslie has left, with assistant editor Donald Walker taking on editorial responsibility for sports coverage following his departure.

Chief sports writer Stuart Bathgate, rugby correspondent Bill Lothian, and reporter Craig Brown have all left the newspaper to pursue freelance writing.

The changes are a result of a wider editorial restructure of the Scotsman publications, announced earlier this year.
