First female sports editor for Mail on Sunday

The Mail on Sunday has appointed Alison Kervin as sports editor.  From next month, she will oversee the editing of the paper's weekly sports pullout section as well as the sports news section of the main newspaper.

Kervin was previously editor of Rugby World magazine, chief sports feature writer for The Times, and chief sports interviewer for The Daily Telegraph. Of the new role Kervin says  "I have no doubt we can take a very strong sports section to even greater heights."
