Sports changes at The Times

The Times has made a number of changes to its sports staff. 

Alex Kay-Jelski has been appointed as sports editor, to start at the end of November. He will replace Tim Hallissey, who has been appointed as head of sport. Kay-Jelski is currently sports editor at the Daily Mail. 

The Times has also appointed Joe Hare as deputy sports editor. Hare was previously deputy head of news at The Daily Telegraph
