Telegraph Olympics coverage unveiled
The Daily Telegraph has announced a 200-strong editorial team will work on its coverage of the London 2012 Olympics.
Central to the coverage will be an up to 48-page daily supplement. The normal daily business supplement will be absorbed in to the main body of the paper during the Games to make way. Also an extra Olympic edition of the iPad app will be published at 5pm every day and a 60-page Olympic preview magazine will be published with this Saturday’s Telegraph.
Telegraph Olympics contributors are said to have 30 gold medals between them and include Sir Steve Redgrave, Denise Lewis, James Cracknell, Steve Cram, Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Ed Moses and Haile Gebrselassie.
Editor Tony Gallagher said: “The Telegraph was the first newspaper to support London 2012 at the bid stage and since then we have been preparing ourselves for the most important sporting event the UK has ever hosted.
“It is an historic opportunity for The Telegraph and I am confident we will offer unrivalled coverage on every platform.”
