Further changes at Financial Times

The Financial Times has made further changes to its US bureau in New York, NY and Washington, DC. On top of the changes reported in recent weeks:

Robin Wigglesworth has been appointed US markets editor, based in New York. He will oversee the FT's coverage of US stocks, bonds, commodities, foreign exchange, derivatives and asset management. Wigglesworth is currently deputy head of fastFT.

James Fontanella-Khan has been appointed US M&A correspondent. He was previously a Lex writer and continues to be based in New York.

From February 2015, Ben McLannahan will be US financial correspondent. He will be relocating from Japan, where he is currently a Tokyo correspondent covering markets and economics.

From March 2015, Neil Munshi will become the US writer for the FT's FirstFT email briefing service. Munshi is currently Chicago and Midwest correspondent.

The changes are part of a strategic commitment to strengthen the FT's coverage of the American economy, markets, business and political world and follow the return of Gillian Tett as US managing editor in September 2014.
