Microsoft revamps MSN portal

By Staff

10th September 2014

Microsoft launched a major update to its MSN News portal in beta on 8 September. The update overhauls the news website's appearance, allowing users to customise their homepage and tailor it to topics they are interested in. The relaunched portal features content from other news outlets such as Sky News and The Guardian alongside content from MSN's own editorial teams.

The update also includes 'productivity tools' such as financial calculators and health symptom checkers. Personalisations can be synched across all of a user's devices.

Following this week's beta preview, the full update will be rolled out in the coming months.
