The Guardian launches SecureDrop system for whistleblowers
The Guardian recently launched a secure platform for whistleblowers to send confidential documents to the newspaper’s reporters.
The launch comes a year after The Guardian posted the first of a series of NSA documents leaked by Edward Snowden, a former NSA contractor.
The SecureDrop open-source whistleblowing platform provides a way for sources to submit data and documents, while remaining anonymous, if they choose to, while avoiding the most common forms of online tracking.
